Welcome on the web pages of the Aikido Ikeda Dojo. Pages are under construction, so only basic informations about AID you can find here yet. More detailed informations about our club and Czech Aikido Association you can find on Aikido Kenkyukai Praha pages.
Classics said, that the best time for aikido-start is at any time „right now“. But, start in the beginning of school year is little better, because number of beginners in dojo is relatively very high. Consequently the program of trainings is adapted to this fact and learning of basics is faster and easier (a little :-).
ATTENTION from 20.9.2004 we started practising in new times.
Where can you find us
Dojo is situated in centrum of Prag in building of Faculty of Mechanical Engineering on Karlovo Námìstí (near to exit from metro station Karlovo námìstí – see map), in room A3 next door to main entrance to the building.
Recruitment of new members
We accept both beginners and experienced during all year, always 10min before beginning of the training. On the trainings practise beginners with experienced together, or beginners and experienced separate.
For start in aikido is possible to wear any sport clothes (long legs recommended), for regular training Judo keikogi is necessary. Keikogi even another aikido equipment is possible to order in dojo.
